I recently inherited a website designed years ago. Looks like the site was modified using flash and connecting to the cart in this website.

The site sells art with lots of options which the flash programs help the user to create and then in checkout loads the OScommerce checkout in the new template.

The owner would now like to sell some more items which are pre-made, no flash options required.

I was thinking I could add the new items by inserting the content from oscommerce into the design

I would create a new premade.php page and insert the oscommrece includes to show the left column and limit it somehow to only the new premade categories.

When I inlude the left columnn it works but any of the links take me back to the index.php page which is not where they need to go. I do not want to mess with the cart to much as we need the cart funtioning for the flash programs and at this time I have no access to the fla files.

Ideas?

Is there anyway to connect two carts to the same checkout screen? Is there a place I can change where the cart returns to? I realize this is difficult to answer without looking at the cart, wondering if anyone has any ideas.

Thanks Patti

Hi Patti,

Hard to say without a site link sounds like a modified slightly older version osc as you mention the column left which is not used in the current version.

Should be possible actually probably a simple tweak but very difficult to answer without a site link

Would suggest you also think about posting the site link in the commercial support forum you will get a few tips/advice etc get the feeling your site is maybe a bit more complicated than normal.

Advice costs nothing time does.

NO, you cannot link two sites to one checkout. Each customer receives an OSCID when they enter the site that stays with them until the leave the site or complete the checkout process.

Thanks so much for the responses! I am going to check with the Client and see where she wants to go from here. I will check out the commercial support too. ~ Patti
