ErikMM Posted February 11, 2013 Author Posted February 11, 2013 I tried copying a .htpasswd_oscommerce from a working store, and it did not work. I see nothing on github either. Thoughts? a-how-to-road-map 2.3.x road-map-for-the-newbies design basics how to make a horrible osC site ssl-how to updated-security-thread Web Developer, Firebug, and Notepad++ are powerful free tools for web design.
ErikMM Posted February 11, 2013 Author Posted February 11, 2013 solution, after several variations and attempts the following worked: 1. "truncate" (or empty, DO NOT DELETE) "adminstrators" in your myphpadmin (at first this did not help...this could be step 3 instead) 2. upload a clean .htpasswd_oscommerce from a downloaded copy of oSc to catalog/admin 3. upload a clean .htpasswd from a downloaded copy of oSc to catalog/admin 4. try to login to yoursite/admin yeah! :) only oddity is that .htpasswd_oscommerce is 0 bytes from the clean install, and 88 from another store...not sure why yet. a-how-to-road-map 2.3.x road-map-for-the-newbies design basics how to make a horrible osC site ssl-how to updated-security-thread Web Developer, Firebug, and Notepad++ are powerful free tools for web design.
