gddevey1012 Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Hi guys and gals can someone give me some advice as to what i have done wrong here. I did a backup install following some issues recently my page titles have all gone back to file names rather than the text that was in them http://www.xtreme-rc.org.uk/catalog any ideas Gareth Devey
MrPhil Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 You're talking about something like TEXT_GREETING_GUEST? They're not file names -- they're defined constants. That one, for instance, is in includes/languages/english.php. That file (among others) is not being read for some reason. Does it still exist? Is it readable (permissions)? Are you getting error messages about "unable to open includes/languages/.php" (the "$language" variable is undefined)?
♥joli1811 Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Hi, Seems the backup did not work try again. the missing defines are in the language folders but worse if I click on a product in the store I get a blank page with error No input file specified. Try maybe uploading the backup per FTP as maybe a time out issue with the server. Regards Joli To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often.
gddevey1012 Posted February 8, 2013 Author Posted February 8, 2013 i have checked the permissions and they are all set to 744 so should be readable. it was fine till i did the re install from backup so have no idea why this would happen Gareth
