Display product attributes on product list

Hi,

I am using product attributes on our store, and they work well on the product_info pages...... however, via the menu on the left hand edge, when you drill down your categories, you receive a list showing all the products under that category, I want to show the attributes in here also, so the customer cannot simply click add to cart without at least choosing a value from the first attribute dropdown.

 

Can this be done? What and where does the code need adding?

That would be in the includes/modules/product_listing.php file but you may want to consider instead, removing the add to cart button from the module so that the customer can see the description (and the attributes) before adding to cart on the product_info page.
