Rorster1986 Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Hi folks, I'm trying to find an add-on but have had no joy so far. Basically, I need an option so that certain products show up on the website but aren't available for purchase. We have welding machines listed on our website, but have a set rate of £7.95 shipping for our standard products. Our machines will cost us about £60.00 minimum to send out, which is why I need the module. I just can't seem to find one. Does anyone know how to set this? Many thanks, Rory Limited knowledge on osCommerce, please be patient with me.
burt Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 There is a addon called "call for price" which I think almost does what you want. The only drawback is that the products price has to be set to zero, which might be undesirable. If you can find nothing, then an option is to have it coded to your specifications, which you can then share with the rest of the users in the form of a new add-on. In general, I believe the best way would be to give each product a flag "1" or "0". "Zero" products are normal products that can be purchased and "One" products are those products that you do not wish to ship. Then totalise the number of "1" products in the cart, and if the result is 1 or higher, then disallow the ability to checkout.

Guest Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 @@Rorster1986 You could use the Individual Shipping Contribution to set the shipping rate of the welders OR use the Request for Shipping Quote Contribution if you want your customers to be quoted based on their location. (manually) Chris
