cocoonfx Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Hi I can not find anywhere in 2.3.3 to change the customers password via the admin panel only. Can anyone point me in the direction on how to do this? Also is there a way to select what is a new product? Quote
germ Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Hi I can not find anywhere in 2.3.3 to change the customers password via the admin panel only. Can anyone point me in the direction on how to do this? There isn't as far as I know. There is a "Master Password" add-on that would allow you to log into their account at reset it that way. I don't know if it's been recoded to work with 2.3.x versions or not. Just so you know - osC passwords are "hashed" not "encrypted". That means you can't decipher them (unless you have buddies high up in the NSA, they might be able to...) cocoonfx Posted January 29, 2013 Author Posted January 29, 2013 Hi Germ Thanks for your reply, it would make oscommerce a lot better if it had this option as standard :o) I have had a look at password master but I don't think it's capable with 2.3.3 . I couldn't find the code it said to change so I moved on. Quote
Guest Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 @@cocoonfx For your customers account security, you cannot change their passwords or access their accounts. The master password contribution is not for v2.3.3 but it could be updated to function with 2.3.3 Chris Quote
