Filters on Oscommerce

Hi, i am looking to design a new website which will be a catalog for products without any payment function. What I would like is to have a horizontal menu at the top with the different categories i.e. kitchen, bedrooms etc.

I would also like a vertical menu on the left hand side that would allow me to add filters to drill down further i.e. either by color, finish, style etc.

Is this something that is possible to build within Oscommerce (some template examples would be nice to see) or am i better off looking at other e-commerce software.

Any advice would be really appreciated.

I have filters for some categories (like under pots&pans), I use product specifications addon to handle filters that are category specific.

It is quite flexible to use existing product field, or additional ones that you need to maintain.

the only minus for us is that it doesn't really handle languages elegantly, you need to maintain the values for each language (even if it is a number)

KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON

I do not use the responsive bootstrap version since i coded my responsive version earlier, but i have bought every 28d of code package to support burts effort and keep this forum alive (albeit more like on life support).

So if you are still here ? What are you waiting for ?!

Find the most frequent unique errors to fix:

grep "PHP" php_error_log.txt | sed "s/^.* PHP/PHP/g" |grep "line" |sort | uniq -c | sort -r > counterrors.txt
