Guest Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 @@etrader66 SECURE YOUR ADMIN DIRECTORY IMMEDIATELY. YOU POSTED YOUR URL AND YOUR ADMIN IS NOT SECURE !!!! You just invited every hacker into your site. READ THIS Yes, your site is out-dated and needs to be made PHP 5.3 compliant and updated to v2.3.3. BUT, with PHP 5.4 due out very soon, the site will most likely not work when your hosting provider updates their servers. Chris
multimixer Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 This is a old version of osCommerce, on top of all completely insecure, admin is accessible for anyone etc. It looks like some kind of fork Not sure what exactly you bought here, but in my opinion it makes no sense to invest even a minute in that Best way to go is, to start with anew store of version 2.3.x and import your products to there As for the template you want to keep, well, even the stock version of 2.3.x looks better than what you have My community profile | Template system for osCommerce - New: Responsive | Feedback channel
Jack_mcs Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Yes, you can change the code to remove those errors. There is an addon that has many of the changes listed, though not all. I don't recall the name I'm sure one of these threads mentions it. If it is an old shop then you will most likely have a number of security problems. Run your site through the security tester on my site and you will see at least one serious one. Ideally, it would be best to upgrade to the latest version of 2.3 but due to the upgrade path, that is usually not a realistic option. Your shop can be upgraded though to not have any problems. That. in itself, won't be a simple job but would be less painful, probably, than converting to 2.3.
