changing front page

Hello- I have purchased a website that is loaded and working at this time, what I want to do is change the images on the home/store page and the wording new products for january. I have looked all thru the different sections in the admin area and didn't see the place to do the changes. Please let me know what I have to do. The version is 2.3.3 and the theme is http://www.oscommerceforyou.hu/free_oscommerce_template012/.

hi you need to edit the language files within files on your server :)

 

catalog/includes/languages/english/index.php

Thanks for the info the seller has given support in setting up the site and I have a question on the front page no answer yet do I backup just the file or the whole site

You don't need to backup the whole site, just make a copy of each file you are modifying, before doing anything to it, and try to keep some order in the copies

I don't see the catalog/includes/languages/english/index.php any place on the server so what do I change for the Home/Store page that has 12 products and the H2 title "new products for january.
