New install only shows New Products column? No left or right columns?

I have upgraded to V2.3 and now I only see 'NEW PRODUCTS for JANUARY" on the front page - nothing else - no Left column or right column?

When I go into the ADMIN section the Categories are all there. kromekandyaccessories.com/catalog

 

Does anyone know what would cause this to happen?

I suggest checking the code edits performed during the update process. The change is obviously caused by the update.

Can you point me into some direction DunWeb?

I performed a new install.

Compared and droped/inserted each table successfully - except for products_image table

why would the categories/products show up in the admin but not on the home page when I didn't change any of the .php files?

I believe I have resolved this issue by configuring the modules/boxes.
