tlh1025 Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 When attempting to install an add-on to allow export of customer information to .csv, apparently corrupted my customer.php file. I copied/pasted the customer.php file the way it was (to a Word doc) before making any changes. Then I followed the install/upload instructions for the add-on. When I went to click the customer file, now I just get a blank white screen. So, I went back and undid all of the previous steps (deleted the additions to the file, copied the original text back in the way it was, deleted the additional files that had been installed). Now I still get a blank, white screen on when I select Customers from teh admin page. Really appreciate any help! I knew I should have backed-up, but the system wouldn't let me. Tried several times to different zip options, etc., but just kept getting a blank white screen. Thanks!
multimixer Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 You corrupted the file the moment you pasted its contents into a .doc file Use your - unedited - backup and upload it to the server To edit files use a php editor, such as notepad+, there are many out there, you can google for The bast way to make a backup of a file is not to copy paste its contents to anywhere but to make a copy, a duplicate, of the file without even opening My community profile | Template system for osCommerce - New: Responsive | Feedback channel
