My dear fellows,

in my oscommerce online shop I am selling downloads only. I look for a possibility to skip the order_info.php in the ordering via direct checkout (without a user account). I mainly want my customers to just come, buy and download.

Personal data seem to be needed in the consecutive script (checkout_payment.php), esp. for the billing address.

Maybe they can be bypassed so that any filling in of personal data will be avoided.

Who can help?

best wishes from Potsdam, Germany

Look in the contributions for "Purchase Without Account".

That's probably as close as you can get - I think.

If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.

ALL payment processors require the customers name, address and telephone number. NO MATTER if you use the suggested PWA contribution or not. That information is required to validate the customers credit card information.

Thanks an awful lot Chris! But is this payment information taken directly from the order form? I am now mainly using paypal, who I thought would ask seperately once the customer is directed to their page. (At least I should be able to get rid of telephone number ...?) greatings from GER S

PayPal will ask the information on their site if it isn't provided by your website. In SOME cases, using the PWA contribution will prompt PayPal to require the customer also have a PayPal account.

In any case, your customer will have to enter all of their information at least once.
