GetSirius Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 I have been having an occasional problem. When updating an order on orders.php every once in a while the comments are not recorded, order status is blank, customer notified is no, bar at top of page says the order has been updated successfully. Should I not notice the error and return to the list of orders, the order no longer shows up. It can be recovered, if I remember right (2 years back) it requires editing the database to recover the order. If I catch the error and simply repeat updating the order right away, the order is not lost, order is updated, and everything is ok. The error still leaves it's tracks in the list of order comments but that is not a problem. Anyone else have such a problem? Anyone know what the cause may be? This has happened ever since upgrading to 2.3.1 from 2.2ms2 in November 2010. Also happens on another install of 2.3.1 that was not an upgrade. I don't think I have made any modifications to orders.php on my cart and know I have not on the other install. Thanks in advance for any help.
Guest Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 @@GetSirius I don't have a concrete answer to your problem, however you should NEVER have updated from MS2 to 2.3.1. You have created a 'frakenstore' that is a mish mash of new/old/updated/hybrid code. The ONLY logical course of action would be to create a NEW store using v2.3.3 and then integrate as much of the database as possible. Chris
