Sorry to start a topic on this but, for the life of me, I can't find a search function here on the forums. Am I missing something?

Have a look at the top right of every oscommerce forum page. Theres a big search box.

 

You may get better results using google and add oscommerce before your search term. So it would look like

 

oscommerce search function
