I clicked on the (I) for Fedex, and it says Installed: Yes. But whenever i go to checkout, it gives me this error Warning: fopen(http://grd.fedex.com/cgi-bin/rrr2010.exe?func=Rate&Screen=Ground&OriginZip=NONE&OriginCountryCode=NONE&DestZip=53704&DestCountryCode=US&Weight=18&WeightUnit=LBS&DimUnit=IN) [function.fopen]: failed to create stream: HTTP request failed! HTTP/1.0 404 Not Found in /home/apocaly/public_html/catalog/includes/classes/fedex.php on line 102 Warning: feof(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/apocaly/public_html/catalog/includes/classes/fedex.php on line 103 And just continues to loop over and over and over. i2iman Posted September 28, 2004 Share Posted September 28, 2004 I am having this same problem. My store is hosted on ipowerweb and it is the default installation that they provide. I understand that some people do not like this host or the version of OS Commerce they use. However, it was what I started with and I do not currently have the time to switch after all the work put into it. I'm not a newbie by any means but I am just stuck on this one. I've been searching the forums all day and haven't found anything else related. Does anyone know a solution to this? I have some ideas and maybe you can confirm or deny these. 1. The Fedex module may be out of date and I need to get the latest contrib 2. I do not have an account with Fedex and need to set one up I have a similar problem with the USPS module. I'm pretty sure that is because I don't have an account with them though. Are there good explanations of how to set up and use these modules? I just can't find any and it seems like there should be some. I don't know how people should be expected to just know you need accounts and such. Thanks for your time guys. Currently trying to setup with USPS. I registered with USPS Web Tools and have username and password. The email says they want me to test it out prior to requesting to be added to production server, but always get an error. Thanks. Tell them you're done testing and want to be switched to the production server. They should respond within 24 hours (although it might not be until Monday...) I was actually able to get the test to work, buy only using a URL with USERID and PASSWORD directly in the Address block. Not from OSCommerce. So I did exactly what you suggested. Production works great now. As for timeliness of response from USPS, calling worked better than email (For others info). Thanks so much. I'm actually battling Fedex Shipping Zones 2 contrib now. Getting a zero for shipping amount. Any suggestions on what Fedex Contribution to use. I'm not using real time quotes because I'm hosted on a share server and they will not enable cURL.
