Problem with Flat Rate

Hi, I don't know what I have messed up, but I wanted to add various flat rates so copied flat.php to flat2.php and flat3.php in modules/shipping and languages/english/modules/shipping. I have also installed 'enable local delivery'.

 

I installed flat3.php but was not able to do so with flat2.php.

 

When I clicked on flat2.php in the module list the install button did not show up. Instead the edit button and remove module shows up.

So i removed flat2.php and flat3.php but now I have this problem with flat.php

Any idea? I really need help! thanks

Hi

Have a look in the configuration table in the database - it may be that when you cloned flat.php you left one or more of the configuration keys unchanged - that will cause the problem that you are seeing.

ohhh...going crazy, did go to phpmyAdmin and had a look at the configuration table but still did not know what to really do. I did delete flat2 and flat3 and started all over again, but still something is wrong. I managed to install flat3 and flat4 but with flat and flat2, same problem as before: Edit and Remove module shows up instead of install module. Really desperate to solve this issue. Thanks again!

you don't know how to look at rows and find double entries in your database? Did you take a backup of your configuration table before making these kind of (bigger) changes? If not, you might need to have someone look over your database, and probably your files also, as I agree that there might be mistakes you made during cloning the files - parameters not changed correctly in all files.

There is lso an entry in the configuration tanle that lists the shipping modules installed theat must list all the modules that show as installed in the shop admin.
