You can use the Modular Front Page addon to manage the front page of your store. See the link below. You add text and images into the Text Main module.

Im really new at all this and have downloaded the file.

 

Now what do I do with it??

There are included instructions on how to install it.

 

You will need a text editor, FTP client and access to your hosting control panel.

Now Im going to sound thick

 

I have a modular_front_pa.tar.gz File as stated

 

Cant open this file???

 

And when I do get to open it and have to upload it were do I put it???

 

As for instructions cant see any only a link to the other bit

Once you have it decompressed, you will see the read me folder, all of your instructions are included in that folder.

You need a program to untar the tar.gz file. Winrar is maybe one...or untar on linux..

Then there will be instructions inside...

I would like to know what the file is called so i can make the text larger please

All input is done in your store's Admin. Font size etc. can be controlled using HTML/CSS in the text field. Install the CKEditor addon to have a WYSIWYG editor.
