Hello all,

I have add-on information pages unlimited + CKeditor just recently installed on 2.3.3 Osc. Both information pages and CK editor appear fin i admin but I have a few problems listed below.

  1. When adding text using CKeditor in an information page such as 'shipping', no text appears on my web page for 'shipping' only the header?
  2. When I delete the text the main text area on the web page re-appears but now I have 'heading_title' and underneath this 'text_information' displayed.
  3. When I create a new page using add-on 'information pages unlimited' such as 'FAQ's'. I don't know where about's this page appears on my web page...I can not see it?
  4. How is possible is it to create and add new pages to the 'main navigation' menu where the home, products, about us links are?

I know I have a few questions but they are all related and any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,

Looks like you missed a bit in install of information pages text_information would normally mean you are missing a define probably in the languages files so go over the install instructions again.

You can see where your page is by looking in admin at the top of the browser for the page id.when you create a new page.

Thanks for your reply Joli.

I have went through the install instructions again and did not miss anything. Creating new pages works fine as i figured out to add them to the root so they appear in my information box.

However. When I change an existing file i.e.. 'shipping' using CKeditor, the corresponding web page does not show anything except the header (logo and main nav) as when I viewed the file

the 'shipping.php' file gets over written and loses the defines. All that is in the shipping.php file is my paragraph I added using CKeditor from with the admin.

Again, creating a new page works great just not exisiting pages I want to change (shipping, contact, privacy etc).

Thanks for any help.

If you are viewing the actual files you wont see any changes, you should create new ones for this module.

The original files is hard coded and should be removed when you install information pages together with the language files.

Just checked in a demo shop of mine try changing in ck editor to source if you are changing the standard osc files and then entering your text (seems to be a bug in ckeditor) never noticed before alternatively create a new shipping/page in information pages.

If you play about it should be possible to enter html code also in source view.

Hi John,

Thanks. Yes I eventually figured out I can add text to existing pages using source mode. I am surprised I can not find others posts with this problem and a fix to the 'bug'. Ah well!

Regards

Karl
