broadstreetbully Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 So I've been ripped off by Paypal & their enabling unverified users to place orders then 2 months later say they didn't authorize the sale...and I get burned for over $1000.00... so I am looking for a decent merchant account provider but EVERY single one I find, when I check them out, there are pages and pages of horrible reviews on how they overcharge, turn off gateways and pretty much screw their customers over regularly... I can't believe it is this hard to find a reliable merchant account provider... can anyone please recommend one? I've checked out about 10 so far and they're all listed on the "scam/ripoff" sites as straight up thieves...how can there be so many terrible providers?? I expect there to be a few problems here and there but I just can't find a half-decent merchant account...any recommendations are greatly appreciated!!
♥toyicebear Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 There are plenty of good ones, but you are running the risk of "charge-back" with any of them. This is something they can not control/prevent since all credit card providers give their users (credit card owners) a certain "grace" time (usually 60 days) where they can dispute a charge to their card. I dont think they are terrible providers, I just think there are lots of disgruntled customers. Have you checked with your own bank and see if they offer something, or you have old favourites like sagepay. None of them can be as bad as paypal. REMEMBER BACKUP, BACKUP AND BACKUP
broadstreetbully Posted December 12, 2012 Author Posted December 12, 2012 I'm surer there are customers who don't read the fees right and cause their own problems but I saw ALOT of unsatisfied customers with ALOT of merchant providers...seems that once they sign you up if you have any issues or problems you're on your own... I just can't afford to go through the aggravation...I need a reliable, decent provider.
