removing required fields in account setup

i read a couple of posts here, and tried a few things, but none of them work to get rid of the date of birth and gender required fields.

 

i tried setting the min to 0, but this did not work. i also tried "false". that did not work either.

 

any suggestions?

In admin under configuration>> customer details you should be able to set the Gender and DOB to FALSE which would disable those fields on the create_account.php page. If that does not disable them, then the code has been altered and you would have to modify it to change the fields.

yes, just as you were posting this i realized that.

 

i wanted to disable "suburb"....shucks if it ain't in there too :P
