PayPal Express & Extra Order Emails

Good afternoon all, and thank you in advance for all of your help. This issue is incredibly frustrating, and I'm sure it's been solved previously, but for all my searching, I can't seem to find an answer.


Succinctly, when an order is placed using Paypal Express (and 2.3.1), the customer is getting the order confirmation emails, but the addresses listed in "Send extra emails to" are not. Not having any problems with the Authorize.net AIM module.


I'll be happy to post code if necessary. Getting Paypal (Standard or Express) to work properly with 2.3.1 has been a nachtmere.


Again, thanks in advance for the information. If there is a detailed post explaining how the application processes the payment and then enters the order into the DB/sends the email, I could probably extract what I need from that.

I'm still not exactly sure what was causing this issue with PayPal Express, but I was able to enable Paypal Standard and get the contribution installed into it. There were some interesting variable scope issues that I had to overcome within the PayPal module, but apart from that, everything is working fine.
