odium_1 Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 So, there are no shipping modules which work with 0.2.2 (ozpost you have to pay for, which is unacceptable as far as I'm concerned) All I want to do is setup shipping zones that relate to states, and not to countries. You see, here in australia shipping is dependant upon state zones. you can view the price differences here. http://auspost.com.au/media/documents/parcels-easy-guide-zone-q1-nov12.pdf However oscommerce provides no way to change shipping cost per state, only per country. Is there any way AT ALL that this can be done? otherwise I'm going to have to scrap my online store entirely, as it's not able to be used for australian stores. Thanks in advance. :)
Guest Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 @@odium_1 Use the Australian Zone contribution to create zones and then create a shipping method for each zone, assigning pricing accordingly. Chris
odium_1 Posted December 2, 2012 Author Posted December 2, 2012 Thanks Chris ( @@DunWeb ) Unfortunately the module doesn't seem to make any sense, and from what sense I can make of it I don't think this is even close to what I'm looking for? How does this help the zone rates shipping method to differentiate between states instead of countries? How do I set each state to be a different country with ISO country code so that zone rates shipping method applies per state rather than per country? Perhaps I'm just conused, but from what I can see this module doesn't appear to have anything to do with that? Maybe I should re-iterate: Using: osCommerce v2.3.3 The problem is this, if you want to send from QLD to NSW it costs more than to send to somewhere in QLD. Therefore, NSW needs to have it's own 'ISO country code' to be made Zone 1 and WA needs to have it's own 'ISO country code' to be made zone 2 etc. etc. It's nothing to do with tax, it's about the weight as you can see here: http://auspost.com.au/media/documents/parcels-easy-guide-zone-q1-nov12.pdf Hopefully this makes more sense? Thanks again, and sorry for the fuss. :) Kind Regards, Odium.
