fqstore Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 Who do most of you members use for your web site security? Is this a dumb question? I am hosting with Open Source Hosting and have been hacked with 2 HEUR Trojan virus within 2days of each other on my site and denied with error 400 and 500 on my admin. I have opened a ticket with them and been chating. They tell me that they are secure. Well I am not up with the internal works of programs and sites but if they are secure why am I getting hacked? Do I need to buy a program like Kaspersky to protect my web site? My site is new and has only started running since say May. My market is unique and have been enjoying a slow increase in sales. I have now been down for 2 weeks. I am new at this and know nothing about the what to and not to do's. I sure could use some plain and simple chatting with some people here to get some education. I don't know or understand the lingo in this field so when people do say "just go in this file and secure the virus yatta yatta" mean nothing to me. Is there anybody in this same boat?
Guest Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 @@fqstore Don, Your site was clean and secure. Ask your host to check their open ports and they will see the issue. Until they correct the security issues, your site will remain at risk. Chris
