How can I add a new Shipping carrier

I am becoming muddled by Shipping. The modules shown do not quite meet my needs. This is for a new named carrier for which the customer pays a flat rate charge regardless of weight.

 

Can anyone give me a hint on this please. I have looked at Contributions but am not sure which one is best, if indeed I need an add-on.

 

The only other delivery method will be 'Collection' and this is already covered.

If the charge will be a flat rate regardless of weight, then use the included flat rate shipping module.

I am afraid that I could not see the wood for the trees!

 

I was really trying to rename a carrier modules eg one of the Royal Mail ones, when on reflection after your email, that is not necessary.
