Rob van der Ploeg Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Many years my email from the webshop are sent well. Since this week they are bounced by spamexperts of the provider. The reason: 2012-11-12 12:50:24 1TXsX2-00062U-P4 <= [email protected] U=apache P=local S=580 T="test3" from <[email protected]> for [email protected] [email protected] 2012-11-12 12:50:25 1TXsX2-00062U-P4 ** [email protected] F=<[email protected]> R=lookuphost T=remote_smtp: SMTP error from remote mail server after end of data: host primary.mail.pcextreme.nl [79.99.129.85]: 550 Messages should have one or no To headers, not 2. How can I solve the problem of the error : 550 Messages should have one or no To headers, not 2. I think there's a problem in the tep_mail or mail function in Oscommerce. (I use older version) Thanks!
tgely Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 You probably have 2 "To" in header or nothing. Only 1 "To" have to use when send mail. If you use old shop look after PHP version compatibilities when php version change in your host. This may not happen without any reason. osCommerce based shop owner with minimal design and focused on background works. When the less is more.Email managment with tracking pixel, package managment for shipping, stock management, warehouse managment with bar code reader, parcel shops management on 3000 pickup points without local store.
dreas Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 This would indeed be caused by a misconfiguration of your OsCommerce setup, it's not a known default issue with recent versions. It's important to only have 1 To: email header included. Also note that you're not setting a proper envelope-from ([email protected]), you probably would want to fix that as well. Feel free to email SpamExperts support as well to ask for help.
Rob van der Ploeg Posted November 13, 2012 Author Posted November 13, 2012 Dreas, How can this be misconfigured. These shops function well for the last couple of years. Suddenly from begin of last week these problems occur. The provider says he has done nothing, but I don't believe him. What do you mean by 'not setting a proper envelop-from', how can I change this?
