PayPal Orders Not Receing Confirmation Emails OSC 2.31

Hello,

 

I am using OSC 2.31 and having a strange issue. On random Paypal payments, I am not receiving the confirmation order email. I am assuming this is caused by customer not finishing the checkout and not returning to checkout_success page. Is there anyway for force Paypal to return or force the order confirmation email? I am not losing payment or orders, just not receiving the emails.

Hello sorry for my bad english

To understand why you have to understand how Oscommerce and Paypal work.

Oscommerce confirms a order on the way back on the page checkout_success ( instead to validate the order by a return of payment).

You few have an automatic return with paypal but only with the customers register to paypal.

You could try adding a return url to your websites checkout_process.php file in your paypal profile, but i assume you have done this already. Paypal will only send emails if the checkout payment was completed fully. If a customer closes without making a payment no email will be sent.

You may need to use the send second order email in the my store settings.
