purchase transaction without a user account?, is it possible

Hi Everyone,

this is my 1st time posting.

 

Is it possible for a user to make a purchase without having to set up an account?

 

on the demo version it was not an option, an account had to be set up.

Contrary to popular belief, there is NO WAY a customer can checkout using an online payment processor without entering thier information which includes, name, address, and phone number (in most cases). That basic information is used to verify the customers credit card information with the processor.

 

As Nick pointed out, you can use Purchase without account, but the only thing that really accomplishes is the entered information is not stored in the database......however, the customer STILL has to enter it to checkout. So, you might as well have them enter it on your store so you can perhaps use it to identify demographics and/ or for promotional purposes.
