I have decided simply to write the URL and leave it to the customer to cut and paste if they want. This is due to my reading that the session will cease if they link back to the main site through a html link. Yes?

Your assistance on how to do a correct html external link to www.britchops.co.uk/ will still be appreciated for future reference, though.

Just add a standard html link, but open in a new window, so that the site will still be in their browser keeping the oscid so they can continue where they were.

Link will look like

<a target="_blank" href="http:// www. what ever the link.com"> what ever the text link </a>

Searching the internet will give you loads of help with basic html coding.

You only need to keep the oscid when you are creating internal links to other pages on your osc store. If you loose the oscid the cart contents will disapear and things like that.

You could also add everything from your current store into information pages within your store and move the store to the root folder.
