per item percent shipping

So it's been a while and I think this add-on will work - http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/305

 

I've installed the newest files but it doesn't calculate the per item shipping on the larger items as defined by the weight field.

 

I've been looking at the older versions and the newest version doesn't have any manual modifications to other files that some of the older versions have.

 

So this leads to my question - to install this correctly, do I have to install the oldest version first (which likely won't work in 2.3.3) and update to the newest through the different versions?

 

My upgrade to the latest version of OSC is nearly complete, and this is the last piece to get it done.

The latest version

 

A complete update working well on 2.3.1.

 

So it should work.

 

It is the 2.3 add-ons will not work with 2.4.

I don't see that 2.4 is generally available as of yet. The issue at hand is that the per-item shipping doesn't seem to be working at all for me. I've checked the code and it all looks ok per the install docs, but it only calculates the percentage shipping for the entire order.
