doodles
I did that and found nothing helpful.... It's just text. The shop is up and running. for more info go to: http://wiki.oscommerce.com
toolcrazy
The text on the main page is at: catalog/includes/languages/english/default.php There isn't a demo mode for OSC, it is a live store as soon as you get it up and running. IT IS JUST TEXT! Steve -------------------------

rseigel
He posted *exactly* where the file is. catalog/includes/languages/english/default.php What part don't you understand?
doodles
I know......I can't FIND that file...
rseigel
That's impossible. It's there. You have to have a languages directory in both the admin and the catalog side otherwise it wouldn't work correctly. Use a little initiative and look around for yourself a bit. rseigel
This is silly. Post your directory structure so we can see what the heck it is that you're doing wrong. It doesn't take 2 hours to open every bloody file in OSC.

keysmediagroup
It's beyond me why people use phpmyadmin I find that the file manager built in is much easier to use. I WILL master this thing yet!!! ------------------------- I hope
toolcrazy
It's beyond me why people use phpmyadminI find that the file manager built in is much easier to use. What does this have to do with the topic at hand? phpMyAdmin is for database editing and control. The major problem with the file manager in OSC is if you want to do any editing you have to change the permissions on the file. So you are better off just doing it on your computer and uploading it via FTP. Steve -------------------------

Guest
Doodles, Now continue to open the languages file, inside of it you will find a directory called english, open it. Inside the english directory should be a file called default.php..... So when someone says the file is in catalog/includes/languages/english/default.php, they are saying you need to open each of those directories until you get to the file. Make sense now? Also did you ask your server admin about support for osCommerce yet?
