Can't login after upgrading to 2.3.2 from 2.3.1

After upgrading to 2.3.2, it's unable to login. When I enter the correct login details, it gives me a white page with following text:

1054 - Unknown column 'password_reset_key' in 'field list'
update customers_info set customers_info_date_of_last_logon = now(), customers_info_number_of_logons = customers_info_number_of_logons+1, password_reset_key = null, password_reset_date = null where customers_info_id = '2'
[TEP STOP]

This won't happen if I enter the wrong login details. Also, if I try to use the forgot password, and I enter the email, it gives me this:

error.gif ERROR_ACTION_RECORDER

However if I create a new account, it creates it, but I can't login. So what do I have to do?

EDIT: However, it logs in, but shows this error, but it's really disturbing.

@ did you run the sql query that comes with the upgrade?

There are 2 new database fields to create

You need to run this query via your phpMyAdmin

alter table customers_info add password_reset_key char(40);
alter table customers_info add password_reset_date datetime;

Can someone explain in greater depth for novices exactly how this is done? I looked through the upgrade process and can't get past this first instruction.
