aldebaran12 Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 I'm testing paypal on sandbox and I can capture payment on the merchant side however the client side doesn't show any indication of any transactions taking place. What am I doing wrong? Quote
Guest Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 @@aldebaran12 Sandbox mode is a 'simulation'. You can take it out of sandbox mode and make an actual transaction to confirm the checkout process. Chris Quote
aldebaran12 Posted May 23, 2012 Author Posted May 23, 2012 I've switched it to live mode now. I'm getting an error: "This transaction cannot be processed due to an invalid merchant configuration." Quote
aldebaran12 Posted May 23, 2012 Author Posted May 23, 2012 I've switched it to live mode now. I'm getting an error: "This transaction cannot be processed due to an invalid merchant configuration." This error only happens when I choose the regular "credit or debit card" option at checkout instead of the "paypal(including credit and debit cards) option. otherwise, if I go the paypal route (through the paypal site) it process the transaction smoothly. aldebaran12 Posted May 23, 2012 Author Posted May 23, 2012 @@aldebaran12 How many payment methods do you have active and if more than one, do you have them all configured correctly ? Chris I have "PayPal Website Payments Pro - Direct Payments" enabled but the module asks for "PayPal Express Checkout" enabled too , so I enabled that as well. All I'm trying to do is to have one option that allows paypal processing on the background, without going though the paypal site. I thought thats what the "paypal website payments pro" does, however I wonder if it doesn't work unless my client has exactly that kind of service on his paypal account. (Currently he has "Paypal Payments Advanced") Quote

Guest Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Dennis, How did you set up Paypal Payments Advanced? I cannot get it to come up in the payments module in admin. Therefore I cannot setup the module to work. benny4563 Quote
web-project Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 you can create the sandbox PayPal client account and run the transaction using the sandbox seller and buyer PayPal account.
