Categories Padding

Hi Dale, please be a little more specific. First, what version of Oscommerce are you using?

Second, where exactly do you want the padding, between each category in your category information box?

IE.

Apple

Banana

Plum

Apple

Banana

Plum

Or between the boxes themselves the ones that surround the category / information / bestseller etc..?

First I have to assume you're using version 2.3.1 and not a template...

In

catalog/includes/modules/boxes/bm_categories.php

Find

$categories_string .= tep_href_link(FILENAME_DEFAULT, $cPath_new) . '">';

Change to:

$categories_string .= tep_href_link(FILENAME_DEFAULT, $cPath_new) . '"<br><br>>';

The second part.. >> look for

>

in this same file, you likely have 2 of them somewhere. In the default function

 if (tep_has_category_subcategories($counter)) {
    $categories_string .= '->';
  }

In my case I just changed it to

 if (tep_has_category_subcategories($counter)) {
    $categories_string .= '';
  }

But yours maybe a little different since you say it has 2 greater than >> signs. Mine had a dash and greather than ->

Note there maybe better ways to do it, or your functions could have been modified already.. but that is basically how I'd do it, if asked.
