Alex Tinlin Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 Anyone know how to get round this particular problem I have encountered? When I checked the API credentials I got the following message:Failure! The PayPal Express Checkout credentials are not set up correctly for live production use. array(0) { } Quote
web-project Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 (edited) have you setup the PayPal Express access using the API credentials from PayPal website? or just enetered email and password? as it's different type of access. Edited February 22, 2012 by web-project Quote Please read this line: Do you want to find all the answers to your questions? click here. As for contribution database it's located here! 8 people out of 10 don't bother to read installation manuals. I can recommend: if you can't read the installation manual, don't bother to install any contribution yourself. Before installing contribution or editing/updating/deleting any files, do the full backup, it will save to you & everyone here on the forum time to fix your issues. Any issues with oscommerce, I am here to help you.
Alex Tinlin Posted February 22, 2012 Author Posted February 22, 2012 Yes, I'm not that daft. The API credentials have not changed ever since I set the shop up, this problem started over a week ago, and I have re-entered the API stuff into the admin area of my store, but still the same old story... Guest Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 @@Alex Tinlin Did you set the module to SALE and not authorization? Did you take the module out of 'sandbox' mode ? Chris Quote
Alex Tinlin Posted February 23, 2012 Author Posted February 23, 2012 Yep, set to SALE, still no joy :sweating: Quote
Guest Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 @@Alex Tinlin Unfortunately, I don't have any other suggestions. That should resolve the issue. Chris Quote
Alex Tinlin Posted February 24, 2012 Author Posted February 24, 2012 Ok, someone must know how to resolve this issue, it's getting ridiculous now.! Quote
austserve Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 I'm with you Alex. I have the same issue & no resolution. I'm about ready to ditch oscommerce, very UNsupported & go with ZenCart as it seems oscommerce is all but dead in the water.. lucianoj 1 Quote
dwbeuki Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 a similar problem happened with a friend where his paypal account required re-verification and he hadn't noticed. He had been using it successfully for nearly a year before he had the problem. He ended up creating new api signature and everything, it did solve his problem. Hope that helps someone. Quote
lucianoj Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 I'm with you Alex. I have the same issue & no resolution. I'm about ready to ditch oscommerce, very UNsupported & go with ZenCart as it seems oscommerce is all but dead in the water.. me too! four days at this and no resolve! contacted both the installation team at templatetuning (which I paid for) and templatemonster (who I bought the template from) and no f****answer. About to switch :( Quote
♥joli1811 Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 (edited) Hi Julissa, Templates are generally not supported on this forum especially not templatemonster the name says it all :). Unless from an experienced developer who will be generally found on this forum who adheres to osc coding standards I would suggest you get in touch again with your template provider. You paid and as far as I know you have 7 days to claim a refund because it does not function / work !!!! so go for it Regards Joli Edited August 1, 2013 by joli1811 Quote To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often.
rocket202 Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 It seems I am having the same issue as well. It has completely shut down my website. I am losing money everyday. My paypal express modual is not working at all! I have all the correct information listed with my API information and password, everything is just as it was for the last year. Then, last week I started getting a PayPal Debug error and noone could pay for an order using paypal. ANY help would be great. OR if there are any developers out there that could help, I am willing to pay anyone with an answer, Sincerely, John Hines Pinfireguns.com [email protected] Quote
innoscape Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Yes, I have ditched this software as well and I am an experienced coder since the early '70's. I wish it worked well, I really do because I absolutely love the admin side. I can and have resolved most all issues but, the fact that every single installation that was perfectly functioning goes down, and it takes so long to get it all set up, kills the "real world" application of this software. (If you still want to go for it, don't use templates people, use the stylesheet. You can accomplish most all theme-ing there. And add ons, don't touch em. Keep it easily upgrade-able and just replace the stylesheet. Do they still say "Word" :- ) Back in the day osc showed promise and I was excited about v3 but, it is an advanced store solution and support is prob now overwhelmed with people who don't know how to write a lick of code. Which, unfortunately is almost essential to get a functioning store up and running (for a while at least). Therefore, previous minimal support is now non-existent. But, it is free  and it can work (for a while). All dozen or so installs I have made in the last decade or so eventually became broken / defunct and replaced with other store / cart solutions that have been plugging right along without issue. Just got tired of all the OSC issues and no quick fix / support. Another real downfall is during initial installation, even if everything passes, issues like cookie domain and paths can still be quite incorrect causing failure without ANY INDICATION of what is wrong. Issues like; Your hosting provider upgrades their cPanel software or php version, your site can go down and it takes forever to figure out how to fix it because you don't know why it happened. That actually happened to me a few times AND ONLY WITH OSCommerce. Okay, I may be opinionated but, I have to roll with my experiences. My best advice, don't put all your eggs in the same...cart..
