Adding German lanuage

I got the german language pakage, after I add it , I added it, but seems some thing wrong (see the picture in attach) , it says german.php in line 77..... really no idia, and Why it so hard to add just a language,!!?


Please help me , tell me how can I add german language step by step. is here is any permission I have to do? Im using the last version 2.3.1 .

I would go to >> localisation >> languages and select the line for german language.


On the right is should display the name of the directory it will be looking for e.g. for english





The attachments show you should be using de_DE


Now look in /includes/languages/ for a file called




If it is there change the permissions to be the same as any others in there. (644)


normally the directory would be called german and the file would be german.php
