Problems changing my shop from root to a folder

My shop was working normally, then i tried to move it from root (www.mysite.com) to a catalog folder (www.mysite.com/shopname) i did this steps:

1 - Modify configure.php on includes folder with this:

define('DIR_WS_HTTP_CATALOG', '/foldername/');

define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', '/home/user/public_html/foldername');

2 - Modify configure.php on admin/includes folder with this:

define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', '/foldername/');

now its working OK, the only problem is that i cant access my admin page. (i moved ALL files EXCEPT htaccess from public_html to public_html/foldername). When i try to access my admin page (www.mysite.com/foldername/admin) it just move to www.mysite.com/admin and give me a 404, dunno why it change to this old address, and if i move my admin folder to de root it work OK, but i it give me some messages on the top of admin page, telling me images folder cant be found.

What was my mistake?

Thx in adv.

Chris,

Thanks for the answer, but i think its not the point, the shop is working 100% ok except for the admin session, i've made the changes on htaccess.

What i want to know is, what changes i need to do on admin folder files? because everytime i type www.mysite.com/folder/admin it just turn to www.mysite.com/admin and give me a 404...

Thx,

Marco Castellari

configure.php on admin/includes

 define('DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT', $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'] );
 define('DIR_WS_ADMIN', '/foldername/admin/');
 define('DIR_FS_ADMIN', DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT . DIR_WS_ADMIN);

 define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT . DIR_WS_CATALOG);
