I have recently installed a osCommerce v3.0.2 on Ubunutu 11.10, and When i loggedin asAdministrator at osCommerce website, i see an error message as below

My store url : localhost/MyShop/index.php

Error: The following work directories are not writable in /opt/lampp/htdocs/MyShop/osCommerce/OM/Work/: Cache, CoreUpdate, Database, Logs, Session, Temp

Error: The upload directory is not writable: /opt/lampp/htdocs/MyShop/public/upload

The permissions to /opt/lampp/htdocs/ as chmod 777

And once more i set the chmod 777 to above directories mention, but still i get error message. How can we rectify / solve this problem.

And i found read this question , change the modes of directories as mentioned. But still its not working.

@,

v3.x is NOT production ready, so unless you plan to use it as a development base, DELETE IT and then install v2.3.1
