Lee,

You can edit the index.php file to add an image to this area: (this is PHP coding)

<div class="contentContainer">

<div class="contentText">

<?php echo tep_customer_greeting(); ?>

</div>

<?php

if (tep_not_null(TEXT_MAIN)) {

?>

<div class="contentText">

<?php echo TEXT_MAIN; ?>

</div>

Or,

You can edit the /includes/languages/english/index.php file and add the image between the two ' '. (This is html coding)

define('TEXT_MAIN', '');

Hi Chris

Thanks so much for this help. I am still not too clear on the image name or location.

Sorry for sounding stupid!!

If for instance the image is called home.png, what would be the code for that? where should the image be located?

catalog\images\home.png ?????

what controls he image fitting to the width of the centre column (between the 'la selection' on the left and the 'shopping cart' on the right?

Upload the image to your images directory.

If you are adding the code to your includes/language/english/index.php file as was suggested the code would look like

<p><img src="/images/your image name.jpg" width="160" height="160"></p>

It would then be possible using html code to position the image or to resize the image.

Could have sworn i just did that.

In your includes/languages/english/imdex.php

Find something like

define('TEXT_MAIN', '');

Change it to

define('TEXT_MAIN', ' <p><img src="/images/your image name.jpg" width="160" height="160"></p>');

Alter the image name to what ever your image is called, and alter the image size to what ever you want the image to be.

Upload the altered file to your server.
