Multiple Flat-Rate Shipping...HELP!

Priest

Recommended Posts

Ok, as of right now, I can only find how to set up ONE flat rate, which I have as $5.00 for shipping.

The problem is: I want to set up 3 different Flat-Rate Shipping rates.

United States: $5.00

Canada: $10.00

International: $15.00

Does osCommerce not let you do this? Am I just not seeing how to set it up?

If anyone knows how I can set this up, please advise.

Thanks!

Priest

I too am looking for that same functionality - Multiple options under Flat Rate.

Only I want it to because I'd like to offer

Next Day : $10

Second Day : $6

4-5 Days : $3

etc.. ....

Actually I believe that what you want to do can be done by using the 'Zones' but I'm not really sure about the specifics.

I thought that I could do it with Zones. I can set up a zone for US, I can set up a zone for CA (Canada), but there's no way that I know of to set up a zone for everyone else...the rest of the international countries.

I have done what you are trying to do...

You have to copy flat.php to new files called next.php, second.php and standard.php. Next, in each of these new files, you have to rename anything that says "flat" to the name of the file, i.e. change "flat" to "next". Once you have modified the files, copy them to the catalog/includes/modules/shipping directory. Then you should be able to go into admin and set them to active.

Search the Forum regarding multiple AND table AND rates. I remember posting all the particulars about 1 1/2 months ago.

If either of you have any questions, let me know.

Good Luck.

if state is bla else if state is blu else blo

where blo would be what happens if a state in not bla and not blu.

In short, the rest of the world ;)

  • 5 weeks later...

I am having a problem with OSC not charging shipping for any International Shipping to custimers.

I have 3 Zones setup (US, Canada, International).

This is how they are setup:

United States - All Zones

Canada - All Zones

All Countries - All Zones

The last one is supposed to be my international shipping. However, I just realized today that nobody internationally is being charged shipping!

Any ideas? I have checked the shipped module to make sure it is enabled, and everything is setup correctly.

ugottasalsa,

Could you post a link to the post you made on how to set-up multiple rates? I've searched several different ways and I can't seem to find it.

I am currently using the table rate based on price; however, I would like to add additional shipping options, such as two-day air, also based on a different table rate.

I've added additional files under shop/includes/languages/english/modules/shipping, but I guess I'm missing something because nothing is showing up in the admin.

okay

I created 4 table rates using the above methods.

It all worked in the admin

HOWEVER

When you are ordering a product and checkout - 1 works, and the other 3 are always set to zero!

I wrote over all of the correct names in the shipping moduals files, and I made the correct English files.

I dont understand why only one of the table rates works - and the other 3 show up just fine, but are all set to zero - even though in the admin I have rates set for every single one.

Any ideas?

Thanks

okay - here is what i did wrong:

When replacing the Table with my new name for the individual table rate, i missed / and or over wrote a few TABLE_CONFIGURATION . Which was natural because the name of the file was TABLE.
