bilbo Posted March 20, 2003 Share Posted March 20, 2003 Hi, I'm pretty new to SSL and all the documentation I've read seems to assume that the person reading it has some prior knowledge. Basically what I want to do is this. I have a client that wants to set up ecommerce solutions for their customers. The general Idea will be that each installation will be made on a sub domain of the main website. ie http://shop1.mywebsite.com http://shop2.mywebsite.com http://shop3.mywebsite.com etc So far so good :?: I've been asked to look at two options 1 setup ssl cert on its own subdomain. eg: secure.mywebsite.com 2. Use a thirdparty shared ssl cert. This is that part where I'm getting very confused. If I use a subdomain do I simply have to enter the www address in admin or do I need to do any file copying? If I go with the shared ssl option I understand that I would need to copy certain files but which ones? Any help greatfully appreciated. I wish....
