Insertion fee

I am trying to create an oscommerce shop that allows people to advertise car spares on my site. Bit like ebay I want to charge an insertion fee but not sure how to go about this, I have a piece of code from here that allows customers to add products but I don't know how to charge them for this.

 

Has something already been created ?

I would probably work my way using an atribute contribution that allows for text attributes. create different products with different prices (your price depends on text length, maybe category too?) and then make the attribute allow for a specific text length.

Many thanks will try that I am not great at OSCommerce found my way round design in the past but altering is a different ball game, also need to work out how customers can add products lol
