Hi,

I am trying to get closer to the Google joining its activity called Google Analytics.

They want me to add some javascript to the page that I want to track "immediately before the closing </head> tag". Could you please advice me where this is in oscommerce?

Thank you. Antonin

I believe you're speaking of the page verification, so you can verify that you actually own the site you're adding to your account.

You can put code in the catalog/includes/header.php file i'd stick at the bottom of that page after the last ?>

If you're running Oscommerce 2.3.1 the google analytics is already installed, all you need to do is go to admin > modules > header tags > then Install Modules (located in upper right hand corner)

install the google analytics then all you need to do is put in your account number something like UA-xxxxxxxx-1

Hope that helps,

Firstly, thank you very much. I did it.

Still I have a question: after the installation, how do I understand that it works, does something display in my page, or will happen something what I can see?

I already checked my google account and have seen the graphs and numbers, this is ok. Will there be some visual change on the web page I activated the GA module at?

Thanks. Antonin

Stats will show in your google account, nothing will change on your page.
