Where to put link to blog.

I have been reading a lot of SEO tips which state that having a blog improves search engine ranking and, indeed, my research indicates this to be true. It appears that Google considers a link from a blog, even one with the domain of blog.mysite.com, to the store URL, such as www.mysite.com, as an inbound link. So the question now is where to put the link to the blog on the store.

Every post I have found here is about either integrating a blog into the store itself, or integrating the store into a blog. I want to keep them separate, I just wonder where the link to the blog should be. I have read that links to outside pages cannot be added to the info box or Generic Box. Is this true? And if it is, where can I place the link?

Forum links & Blog Links are important in SEO the higher rated the blog the better value, that said you can put a link to an outside source anywhere on your site. You could put it in the header, footer, or even create a new Info Box with an image & text link. I would suggest making it open in a new window, target="_blank" as opening a new domain in the same window will cause the osc session to drop, which is probably why you read that outside links shouldn't be added. It is possible with simple html styling and can be used.

So dropping sessions is the only reason? That's not a big deal then since I would open a new window or tab anyway. Thanks for the reply.
