The e-commerce.

attributes messed up

Recommended Posts

I am looking for an oscommerce person to fix some bugs in my attributes. I am unable to contact the programmer who was doing the work and need it fixed as soon as possible.

It was working, they made some changes that did not work, removed them, but now if I try to add a new attribute to an item (I can edit existing ones), I get errors like this:

1136 - Column count doesn't match value count at row 1

insert into products_attributes values (null, '1184', '2', '134', '0', '+', '@')

Thank you

By default, the products_attribute table has 6 fields. Did you add some mod/contribution for a 7th field? If so, it looks like you neglected to run the SQL code to alter the table and add the new field at the end of the list.

This is where I start screaming about idiot coders too lazy to list the field names in an insert operation, so that it becomes clear that either you have a mismatch between fields defined and the values list, or you neglected to add the new field to the table, or you have a mismatch in the order of fields and values.
