Installation via command prompt (without web browser / web interface)

Hi All,

I have to install OSCommerce on a remote Linux server. I am connected to this server with command prompt [sSH client - PuTTY].

I have root access to the server via command prompt only. I do not have any access to the GUI / User Interface of the Linux server. How ever I can transfer any file/folder from my laptop to the server via FTP using FileZilla.

How to install osCommerce in such case? Please help!

Thank you.

Sumit,

Just as the documentation states. Use your web browser to point to the installation directory.

-OR-

You could just set up the two configure.php files manually to reflect your paths and database credentials.
