Marco,

Download a copy of your current website and database. Log into your new hosting account, create a new blank database and import your current database into it. Upload all of your osCommerce files to the new hosting account ensuring to maintain the directory structure.

Once that is done, edit the two configure.php files to reflect the new paths and database credentials.

The new host should do it for you. If not, i would look for a host that does since it indicates future poor service for your shop, in my opinion. If they do move it, be sure to block your shop first to mark it down for maintenance since most hosts won't care if the database changes while they are moving it, which it could if the site is active.

If you want to do it yourself, you will need to:

- block your live shop so the database can't be changed.

- create a database on the new server and populate it with a copy from the old server.

- ftp your files from the old server to the new server.

- change the configure files on the new server to use the new paths and database details.

- change your domain names DNS entries to point to the new server.

watchout for what php your new host is useing. If its a high PHP like 5.3 you will get a million errors that have to be manually fixed.
