I would like to create my first Os commerce site.

 

Where do I begin?

 

How to I get good rankings for my site?

 

How do I upload a list of products to the system when my suppliers prices change? I understand there is a module that can do this, is that correct?

 

Is there a cheap / free way to register a domain/hosting option?

You can begin by downloading v2.3.1 from this website. Once you have it installed you can install any number of contributions to enhance the functionality including Easy Populate ( http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/7725 ) to bulk load your product information and Header tags seo ( http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/5851 )to help with SEO.

 

As far as cheap domains, GOOGLE for providers. FREE is never a good option. (you get what you pay for) and I suggest Linux hosting, not Windows hosting.
