Guest Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Derek, Download osCommerce v2.3.1 from this website ( http://www.oscommerce.com/solutions/downloads ), unzip it and then FTP it to your hosting account. Log into your hosting account and create a blank database. Note the database name, username and password. Then run the osCommerce installation script by browsing to your domain name and the installer ( www.yourdomain.com/install/ ) Enter the information requested to complete the installation. Chris
AquarianDerek Posted November 4, 2011 Author Posted November 4, 2011 I'm sorry Chris. I have it downloaded and unzipped but IDK how I FTP it to my hosting account.
Guest Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Derek, You can use your hosting account file manager to upload the unzipped files to the public_html directory if you wish. Or, download and use an FTP client like Filezilla or CuteFTP Chris
AquarianDerek Posted November 4, 2011 Author Posted November 4, 2011 yeah... the public_html directory folder is what I accidently deleted.
adelgado Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 I had a similar problem using Fantastico to install to public_html, and I ended up deleting that directory Since I was unable to create a new public_html directory, the solution I found was to have my host terminate the account and reopen a new one Maybe your host has another solution....
