help with categories

Hi I have got oscommerce 2.3.1

 

I have lots of categories on the left and because its a ever growing list, the customer will be forever scrolling down so is there a way I can have main headings and click on the main heading and it drops down to reveal sub headings

 

does that make sense

 

Can some one help me on this please

To add sub categories go to your admin area, click on "catalog" on the list on the left side of the screen, then clck on "categories/products".

There you will see a list of your products, select the product you want to move to another category and then select "move" on the right side of the screen,,you will then get a drop down menu that says "move product to" ,click the little arrow at the right of the field that says "top" ,this will give you a list of all your folders,select the folder you want to move your product to and then click the "move" button.

 

You may have to create a new folder and name it the category you wish to use first,,this is done the same way as creating a new product,

What I need is a expandable and collapsable menu for the categories on the left hand side

 

so for example click on a main heading and it reveals the sub headings in the main heading

 

that make sense
