How to copy a new payment module in to OS Commerce?

I am switching payment processing companies and my new provider sent me instructions to install the new .php files but I do not know where to copy them or what to do exactly. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

They should have provided you with at least two files. Both are named the same but are placed in different places.

 

/includes/modules/payment/yournewmodule.php

/includes/languages/modules/payment/yournewmodule.php

Yes they did Chris. I just do not know what to do with them. They are on my computer and the instructions say to Copy the files to catalog/includes/languages/english/modules/payment/ but I do not know how to do that. I do not have access to an FTP site, have never worked with OS Commerce either. So where to I copy these files to? How do I do that?

Do you have access to your hosting account ? If so, then you can use your hosting accounts File manager to upload the files to the proper directories.

Chris, by hosting account do you mean the OS Commerce login? Or do you mean the .com website itself?

Hosting account refers to where your website is located on the web. Popular hosting providers are Godaddy, Bluehost, Hostgator, Justhost, 1and1 etc.

 

if you are going to make any changes to your website, you will need FTP access or Hosting account access.
